Monthly Muses: November

Walking to Class Jam of the Moment:

Mckenzie’s Jam

Gold by Bondax.

“I don’t know about regular people, but if I’m walking anywhere I need a song that makes me feel like I’m either on a mission or in a music video. This song is equally eclectic and empowering so it gets my spirits lifted before I’m about to enter the fiery gates of hell aka school.”

Mikaela’s Jam

Cleopatra by the Lumineers

“This song is super upbeat and full of life. Combine it with a gorgeous day on campus and it’s nothing but heel clicks and rainbows.”

Cait’s Jam

Bad Things by Machine Gun Kelly ft. Camila Cabello

“If you know me at all, you have had to come to terms with the fact that I am a die-hard MGK fan. All bias aside, this song is so good. Camila’s voice is perfect for the dreamy chorus and I love the story behind the song.”

I Would Trade Closets With:

Olivia Palermo

“I don’t know a single person who doesn’t like Olivia Palermo. Seriously this girl can pull off any style type. But what I like best about her wardrobe is the affordable pieces and the level of comfort which are numbers 1 and 2 for me always.”

Gigi Hadid

“Who wouldn’t die for a supermodel wardrobe? Not everyone can have the luxury of being styled by Monica Rose (who also styles the Jenner’s and Chrissy Teigan!), but her looks are easy to copycat with bargain brands. I love the off the shoulder shirts paired with high waisted jeans that Gigi seems to rock regularly.”

Arielle Charnas

“Arielle of SomethingNavy without a doubt!! That woman has a shoe closet the size of my living room and it is LINED with Louboutins and Jimmy Choos. Her wardrobe is totally drool worthy and I live to see how she pieces everything together. Bonus points- she has the cutest baby I’ve ever seen.”

My Halloween Style:

“I’m one of those people who refuses to buy Halloween costumes so I always drag everything out of my closet until it somehow forms a good idea. I also own 7,000 striped shirts, 3 different berets, and I own a smaller version of the Eiffel Tower so done and done. I really wanted to capture the stereotypical essence of France so I drew on my own tiny mustache and brought bread to the party because I believe in food first.”

“In the past I’ve planned my Halloween costume out months before, but this year’s costume came to me last minute. I paired a plunge v-neck with high wasted jeans and Doc Martins for a sleek black look. Add a sickle and crown and you’ve got yourself a dark-princess-grim-reaper-thing. Not my most refined costume but souls were stolen regardless.”

“My birthday was last week so I had to be something dope for my birthday party. I dug out a needle and thread and bought 3 yards of tulle and went to work on customizing a Tim Burton’s Corpse Bride-esque ensemble. I’m a little too proud of it and sad to see it go, so it’s still laying on my nightstand. Peep those makeup details too because it took entirely too long.”
